My Name is Charles Ackerman, but my friends call me JR, I am a devoted family man and father of four. I was born in Charlotte NC and moved to Fort Mill in the early 90’s. I began my career in insurance while I was in school for Computer Engineering and Business Management. After 13 years of managing an agency, I founded INSURE Insurance in 2014 with one mission, to provide clients with first-class service and coverage. I believe in doing what’s best for the client and making sure they understand every part of their policy. I also believe in community and giving back through supporting local athletics and organizations. Serving my customers and the local community continues to be my number one priority.
When I am away from the office you can probably find me out with my kids and friends Mountain biking, I am very passionate about that, so much that I am coach to a local team in Fort Mill called the Catawba Ridge Riders and Insure is also a Sponsor of that team and the SC League.
My name is Kent Higgins, and I am a Fort Mill, South Carolina native. I earned a four-year degree at Clemson University in Animal Veterinary Science and Equine Business. I found a desire for insurance in 2011 after I was in a bad car accident and was able to learn how health insurance worked through that experience. Opportunities in the insurance business allowed me to expand my licensures in life, Medicare, group benefits, and property & casualty. I love helping people and serving the community through this industry. My joy comes from being able to assist and educate clients about their specific insurance needs. Outside of my career, my passions are family, working with nonprofits, hunting, horses, farming, and enjoying nature.
